Open Call: Castlefield Gallery x Pipeline – Solo Exhibition

Posted on 11 December 2025

This opportunity is for Castlefield Gallery Associates members.

If you’re not a Castlefield Gallery Associates member yet, you can find out more about the scheme here

Castlefield Gallery is pleased to announce an open call collaboration with Pipeline, London. We are looking for one artist to develop a solo presentation of their work with us, for showcasing across two different contexts over the summer 2026: at Pipeline’s commercial gallery space in London and Castlefield Gallery’s public venue in Manchester. This collaboration provides an opportunity for an artist to work closely with both organisations to consider how to present their work in these two distinct venues.

Pipeline exhibition dates: 4 June – 25 July 2026 (the opening of the exhibition at Pipeline will coincide with London Gallery Weekend from 5-7 June 2026).

Castlefield Gallery exhibition dates:  30 July – 30 August 2026.

WHAT TO PROPOSE

We encourage applications from artists who will already have a body of work ready for solo exhibition in the two venues over the summer of 2026.

We are interested in proposals that demonstrate a desire to gain experience of exhibiting and developing a profile in both a public and commercial gallery setting. Proposals should be made for presenting either a single body of work to be shown across both venues or two separate presentations, to be shaped in conversation with Castlefield Gallery and Pipeline.

Where possible artists should make clear any pre-existing commercial arrangements they may have with regard to their work and any relevant third party interest.

If you would like to discuss a proposal with us please book onto one of the Additional support surgeries see dates & links below.

More About Pipeline Gallery

Tatiana Cheneviere is the founder of London gallery, Pipeline (est. 2022). Pipeline’s core concern is to support meaningful engagement with artists and their work. The gallery introduces each artist with a single artwork ahead of their exhibition. It operates as a divided space, the main exhibition area and a room which features one work by the artist whose exhibition is forthcoming. Selected by the artist, this introductory work reveals particulars of their current practice or potentials for the future, providing essential context with each exhibition. Pipeline’s programme is focused on cross-regional collaboration, working with artists and institutions beyond the UK capital.
