Castlefield Gallery / MMU Graduate Award presented to Matt Leaves

Castlefield Gallery was pleased to recently award Matt Leaves, Photography Graduate from Manchester School of Art at Manchester Metropolitan University the 2017 Castlefield Gallery / MMU Graduate Award.

Matt describes his practice as “My work varies in context but is always produced for my own sake, drawing on personal experiences, encounters and the environments I find myself in. My practise is cemented in materiality, utilising various analogue approaches and cameras to document and depict the aforementioned elements of my life.”

Matt will receive mentoring and support through Castlefield Gallery’s CG Associates membership scheme for the next 12 months.
