Posted on 22 July 2016

Castlefield Gallery is delighted to be a partner of the 2017 Standpoint Futures residencies programme.

Standpoint Futures visual art development residencies are for emerging/mid career artists, based outside Greater London. They are designed to be flexible and responsive to the project, needs and desired outcomes of individual participants. The residency’s chief aims are to provide high quality, individualised opportunities to develop the artist’s practice and career, and to promote the exchange of ideas between London and the wider UK art world.

Castlefield Gallery’s director, Kwong Lee will also be joining the selection panel alongside Alfredo Cramerotti, Director MOSTYN;
 Ben Borthwick, Director Plymouth Arts Centre; Andrea Davidson, Arts Manager Chisenhale Studios;
 Fiona MacDonald, Director Standpoint Futures.

Deadline for applications is midnight on Tuesday 6 September.

Interviews for shortlisted artists will take place on Tuesday 4 October at Chisenhale Studios.

Three artists: two from England, one from Wales will be selected. One residency is designated for an ‘early career’ artist.

Application fee £16 – this helps cover the costs of our selection process.
