EXCHANGE 2 – Artists Connect
Posted on 18 January 2022Castlefield Gallery Associates participating in THE EXCHANGE 2, a project connecting creative practitioners across the UK, have been introduced to their partner artists to begin a nine month period of creative exchange.
Castlefield Gallery Associate artist Klaire Doyle will be in exchange with Gerogia McGrath a fellow artist at The NewBridge Project, Newcastle.
Bryony Dawson will be in exchange with Maisie Moon an artist with Spike Island Associates, Bristol.
Sylvia Waltering will be in exchange with Rodger Suckling an artist at Primary, Nottingham.
Clara Glyn will be in exchange with artist Theresa Dodzro from Turf Projects, Croydon.
Candice Dehnavi will be in exchange with fellow artist Jennifer Brough a member of Extra Ordinary People, Eastside Projects Birmingham.
Babs Smith will be in exchange with Helen Acklam an artist with Spike Island Associates.
Katie McGuire will be in exchange with Desilver Johnson an artist from Turf Projects, Croydon.
Chatitze Achmet will be in exchange with Tina Kutter an artist at CAMP, Plymouth.
We will be sharing updates on the project across our social media as the conversations and creative exchanges develop.
In addition, a series of networking events and artist-led activities for The Exchange 2 artists will be hosted online by the partner organisations, with the aim of supporting the participating artists, building networks and making further connections.
Castlefield Gallery will be hosting an event with Eleanor Morgan on the 29th of April exploring the potential to communicate with nonhuman creatures. Details of Eleanor’s event will be announced soon.
