Castlefield Gallery Associates

Castlefield Gallery Associates is a membership scheme for artists, writers and independent creatives working in the field of contemporary visual arts, living and working in Greater Manchester, the North West of England, and beyond.

The scheme is designed to strengthen your artistic practice and support your career development. At £5 per month / £60 per year, members gain access to a wide range of opportunities, resources and professional activities tailored specifically for artists and creatives.

As a Castlefield Gallery Associate, you’ll receive regular information, career-focused talks, skill-building sessions and development opportunities. You can also share and promote your work through the gallery’s digital platforms, and at certain times apply for access to Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces alongside other members-only initiatives.

Each year, we invite members to apply to our Members’ Exhibition open call. The selected proposal is exhibited at Castlefield Gallery, supported by dedicated press, marketing, and promotion within our annual exhibition programme.

At its core, Castlefield Gallery Associates is a hub for creative practitioners. A space for critical exchange, peer connection, and meaningful engagement amongst artists operating in the North West and beyond.

We host monthly events for members, both in-person and online, shaped directly by the needs, requests and interests of our community. Events are also recorded and added to the comprehensive resources page found in members’ accounts, meaning there is access to a backlog of past events. Our Associates events are usually blended, meaning you can attend in-person or online.

Being a Castlefield Gallery Associate gives you access to:
