NEW ART SPACES LEIGH: LAUNCH EXHIBITION – Saturday 21 September 2013, 10am-6pm

Posted on 13 September 2013

Castlefield Gallery, in association with Wigan-based arts organisation Cross Street Arts, presents the launch exhibition for New Art Spaces Leigh, showcasing the work of ten emerging artists with an exhibition of painting, print, photography, mixed media and sound.

Working with the support of Acrebrae Limited, Castlefield Gallery has taken on a temporarily unoccupied shop space on Bradshawgate, Leigh’s busy retail thoroughfare, to provide a ‘pop-up’ exhibition venue for creative practitioners.

New Art Spaces Leigh presents work by ten artists from the CG Associates membership scheme who are local to Leigh and Wigan; they have been producing work for the launch in the large 1st floor office space above the shop, which has been repurposed by Castlefield Gallery as an artists’ project and work space.

The New Art Spaces Leigh launch exhibition features works by the following artists:

Gabrielle Anderson / Lindsey Brown / Caroline Collinson / Victoria Ellis / Abigail Jackson / Joshua Lorenz / Aaron Pearce / Gemma Tully & Nicola Broxson / Victoria Walsh

This event accompanies Cross Street Arts’ We Are Open exhibition and open studio event in nearby Standish, Wigan, which launches on Friday 20 September at 7:30pm.

Address: Publication House 14-16 Bradshawgate Leigh WN7 4LX

Opening Times:  Sat 21 Sept 10am-6pm. For access following the launch event please contact:
