FREE PREVIEW SCREENING:Headlands Outlook, directed by Jacob Cartwright & Nick Jordan

Posted on 12 June 2014

Castlefield Gallery New Art Spaces and Filmonik are delighted to be able to host a special preview screening of Headlands Lookout, a new 28 minute film by Jacob Cartwright & Nick Jordan, made during their collaborative residency at Headlands Center for the Arts, near San Francisco.

The experimental documentary film is centred on the Marin Headlands: a dramatic stretch of Pacific coastline at the entrance to San Francisco Bay. Featuring abandoned gun encampments and missile sites, Beat poetry, fog-shrouded hills, ancient redwood forests and Zen philosophy, the film traverses the area’s cultural and natural landscape, exploring and documenting a ‘wild’ landscape mediated by human activity.
