Castlefield Gallery at The Manchester Contemporary 2019

Posted on 29 September 2019

Castlefield Gallery is excited to be returning to The Manchester Contemporary where we will be showcasing some of the most promising artists living and working in the North West region including Nicola Ellis, Parham Ghalamdar, and George Gibson.

Recent Manchester School of Art graduate, Ghalamdar is part of bespoke year-long graduate mentoring programme with Castlefield Gallery. Coinciding with The Manchester Contemporary 2019, Nicola Ellis is part of No Particular Place to Go? an exhibition that marks Castlefield Gallery’s 35th anniversary. And Gibson, as part of Shy Bairns has curated Castlefield Gallery’s upcoming members exhibition; Fanspeak (2 -24 November). All three artists are members of Castlefield Gallery Associates, our development scheme for artists, writers and independent curators working in contemporary art.

Bringing leading international and UK contemporary art to Manchester, the Manchester Contemporary takes a uniquely artist-focused approach, inviting the most exciting international and UK galleries to participate. With careful selection and bold curatorial vision, The Manchester Contemporary showcases the strength of the UK’s regional artists and galleries alongside key international presentations that can only be seen in Manchester on 11-13 October at Manchester Central.
