Castlefield Gallery shortlisted for two Manchester Culture Awards
Posted on 21 October 2019
Castlefield Gallery is delighted to share the news that we have been nominated for two awards in the upcoming Manchester Culture Awards 2019. Castlefield Gallery Director Helen Wewiora has received an individual nomination for her work in Promotion of Talent and Leadership and Castlefield Gallery has also been recognised in the Inspiring Innovation category for its work in partnership with The Whitworth and Venture Arts.
The awards were set up by Manchester City Council in 2018 to recognise the vital contribution that culture makes to the city economy and how it helps to animate Manchester making it a vibrant place where people want to live, work and play. Five nominees were selected for each of the 12 award categories by a panel of cultural experts. We wish everyone who has been nominated the best of luck.
Winners in all categories will be announced at a special awards ceremony being held at Manchester Central on Saturday 9 November.
