We are delighted to announce that Jamie Allan has been appointed to the role of Artist Development & Creative Communities Producer. We are thrilled to have him join the team.
Jamie Allan is an artist and curator with a background in documentary filmmaking and community cinema. Previously he was curator of the artist film programmes at HOME Manchester, and he currently curates the short film and community programmes for Sheffield DocFest.
He is interested in collaborative processes of art making and how these can inform alternative models of exhibition and distribution. Together with friends in 2017 he launched the collective project Cinecaravan which hosts workshops and screens new work in socially and geographically remote communities across Europe. He has a Masters in Documentary Film Directing from the DocNomads itinerant film school, and a Post-Master in Collective Practices from the Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm.
