20 June 2014 / 18:30-20:30

The June CG Associates session will be an infoshare on Grants for the Arts applications. We are lucky to have the expertise of honorary CG Associates member Liz Wewiora to draw on. Here’s some info from Liz on her funding experience:
My fundraising experience began with an internship at CCA, Glasgow, generating funding and programme for a major environmental outreach project in 2009. From this point on I was exposed to mainstream arts funding sources as well as other areas including environmental, commercial sponsorship and community grants. I have experience of successfully writing Grants for the Arts bids for both my own arts and curatorial projects as well as supporting bid writing for other individual artists. I have also worked on a variety of arts and non-arts fundraising for the Centre For Chinese Contemporary Arts under my role as programme and engagement coordinator for the past 4 years. My new role at Glasgow Sculpture Studios also includes fundraising and managing larger trust grants.

Come along with any specific Grants for the Arts-related questions, or any recent successful or unsuccessful applications, or just with a general interest in how to fund your art practice. And especially please come along if you have any useful information/experience you’d like to share with your fellow CG Associates members!
