GameJam

6 July 2013 / 10-5pm

One of the earliest known board games, Senet was played by the ancient Egyptians. As well as the joy of game playing, they reveal something about the belief systems of the time. Come to GameJam to make games that tell the story of our time. GameJams are gatherings of game developers to plan, design and create one or more games within a short time span.

The theme for this GameJam will be around the Spaceship Unbound exhibition. We will have experts from the Manchester GameJam, The Larks and the Manchester Speculative Fiction group to help out on the day. Solo and groups are both OK, and it doesn’t even have to be a videogame: if board games or anything else is more your bag, that’s cool too. Our only rule is: you have to show your game off at the end!
