Posted on 23 August 2013
Castlefield Gallery is pleased to announce that it will take part in The Manchester Contemporary 2013. Once again CG will be showcasing some of the most promising emerging artists who are currently unrepresented. For this year CG has selected 4 artists from its CG Associates scheme. They are Nicola Ellis, Jane Lawson, Hannah Leighton-Boyce and Darren Nixon.
CG launched its CG Associates scheme for artists, writers and independent curators working contemporary art in December 2012. Now with over 90 members, the scheme supports them by developing their work and careers by providing information, skills, exhibiting opportunities, resources, promotion and critical dialogue.
The Manchester Contemporary is the largest fair of critically engaging visual art outside of London and returns to Spinningfields in Manchester on 27 – 29 September with an invitation only preview night on Thursday 26 September. This year’s fair will see over 20 galleries and project spaces with a mix of returning galleries who took part last year and some new.
