Open Table no 1: Bryony Dawson & Elysia Lukoszevieze

A short collaborative publication responding to the first in a series of Open Table events at Castlefield Gallery, evenings of conversation that explore selected exhibitions from the 2022/23 programme.

For this inaugural event, Associate Member Bryony Dawson was selected from an open call to develop a text-based response to the PIVOT exhibition (27 May – 4 September 2022), alongside invited writer/curator Elysia Lukoszevieze. The exhibition features affordable editioned work by five artists based across the North West: Pat Flynn, Garth Gratrix, Bridget O’Gorman, Salma Noor and Chester Tenneson.

The events are curated by Laura Mansfield and texts published as pdfs in collaboration with Corridor8 and designer Ashleigh Armitage, marking the start of a two-year collaboration. Commissions and publications are supported as part of a collaborative bursary programme.
