Speed-date Networking for contemporary art curators, artists and collectors With artist Feng-Ru Lee in residence

17 October 2008 / 18:00 - 20:00

More on Feng-Ru Lee: Feng-Ru Lee is a UK based Taiwanese artist. For Speed-date Networking she presents Secret Recipe, an adaptation of the original Fluxus dumpling parties held by George Maciunas in the 1960’s. Lee’s aim with Secret Recipe is to unite art and life and to consider everyday activities as a proposition and vehicle for making art. Lee’s practice often involves audience participation for the creation of the work, exploring notions and elements of life and science that are often open to controversy and criticism, toying with ideas such as mass production and genetic engineering. Lee has exhibited extensively across the UK and in USA, Japan, Middle East and across Europe. In 2000 she was the winner of the prestigious Taipei Prize. Lee has completed residencies in Berlin and Jerusalem and recently at the New Art Gallery Walsall.
