Gerrie van Noord manages the co-publishing project Fabrications at Bookworks, she is working with the LSE on a publication following their Urban Age project, teaches at Birkbeck College and at The Glasgow School of Art. She studied Art History in Amsterdam and worked at the Rijksakademie voor beeldende kunsten and De Appel Foundation. Since moving to the UK in 1996 she has worked at Artangel, ICA, Zenomap, Scotland’s first independent presentation at the Venice Biennale in 2003. One of her main areas of interest is the translation and mediation of artistic ideas and practices from one context, medium or language to another.
