Kacey Stonnell

Kacey Stonnell

Gallery & Volunteers Coordinator

Kacey is originally from East Lancashire and studied Art History and English Literature at the University of Manchester, where she spent a lot of time falling in love with old buildings, medieval literature and the many art spaces that fill the city. She’s now doing an MA in Arts Management, Policy and Practice, inspired by her time as a curatorial placement and volunteer at Castlefield Gallery.

Before landing in the gallery world, Kacey was a support worker for adults with autism, worked in charity fundraising, volunteered at her local art gallery, and stewarded at a National Trust site. She’s always been drawn to roles that involve people, creativity and sharing stories – so Castlefield Gallery felt like a natural fit.

She’s especially passionate about making arts spaces more welcoming and accessible, and loves working on projects that bring in fresh voices and new perspectives.

When she’s not at the gallery, you’ll probably find her browsing a second-hand bookshop, watching another season of Below Deck, or searching for her next touristy ‘must-see’ activity despite having lived in this city for 3 years already.
