Talk: Pieter Vermeulen and Paulette Terry Brien

28 May 2016 / 2pm-4pm

Belgium, and in particular Brussels, has in recent years come to be known as an attractive place for artists to live and work. Why this might be, and what Manchester and the UK could learn from this, will be the topic of a public event with Pieter Vermeulen (curator, researcher and co-founder of POPPOSITIONS – an alternative art fair in Brussels) and Paulette Terry Brien (co-director of The International 3, Salford and co-curatorial coordinator of The Manchester Contemporary – the UK’s largest critically engaged, contemporary art fair outside of London).

This event has been programmed to coincide with the exhibition Diagonal Noise at Castlefield Gallery (27 May – 17 July 2016).
