Gordon Cheung, Rainbow End 2

Posted on 21 November 2012

The limited edition print Rainbow End 2 by Gordon Cheung is now back in stock and Gordon is very kindly donating all of the profits from the sale of the edition to Castlefield Gallery, to help in our continued fundraising efforts.

Cheung’s multi-media art captures the hallucinations between the virtual and actual realities of a globalised world oscillating between utopia and dystopia. Spray paint, oil, acrylic, pastels, stock listings and ink collide in his works to form epic techno-sublime vistas.

Cheung’s work Rainbow End utilises digital printing processes to manipulate imagery taken from found posters and flyers to haunting effect. His use of the Financial Times stock listings reflects his ongoing investigation in creating artificial realities using imagery taken from our dependency on technology, and desire for information.

It is an archival inkjet print on gloss photographic paper, no. 41-100/100 of the edition are available. Issued with a certificate, 2004, 42 x 59.5 cm (paper size 50.5 x 66.5 cm) (unframed), £125 + postage.
