Arts Award

Castlefield Gallery is proud to be an Arts Award Supporter and can offer help to either students who are on their way with Bronze, Silver or Gold Awards or Arts Award adviser’s.

Castlefield Gallery runs its curated programme of exhibitions from its city centre public gallery space, as well as hosting regular artist talks, events, and public previews. It presents new art by emerging and established artists working in all forms of contemporary visual art. The gallery is free to attend and open to all. Castlefield Gallery’s exhibitions provide an opportunity for independent research into current trends in contemporary visual art and artists.

If you write a review about one of our exhibitions or events, please share it with the gallery via email or our social media pages.  Or if you would like to do a Q&A with our curator about one of our exhibitions or working in the sector please email the gallery.  We can also upload or link-to your review or Q&A from the news section of our website or share it with our networks on social media.

We welcome Arts Award adviser’s arranging group visits to exhibitions and are able to offer exhibition tours.  We also are happy to accommodate short self led seminars at the gallery either led by an Arts Award adviser or by somebody working towards their Gold Award.  To book a group tour or to discuss hosting a seminar please email the gallery.

Castlefield Gallery has opportunities for young people (18+ years) with the aptitude and the ambition to work in the sector to get hands on experience through volunteering.  We can offer opportunities from supporting the gallery administration team, assisting on Front-of-House, to working alongside technicians and artists to install exhibitions.
