Standpoint Futures Announced

Castlefield Gallery is delighted to see that artist Emily Speed has been selected for Standpoint Futures residency programme 2013-14.  Emily exhibited at Castlefield Gallery alongside Hayley Newman back in March this year in our annual Head to Head exhibition and we are very pleased to see that her career it developing from strength to strength.

Standpoint Futures is an ambitious residency programme for regional UK artists, providing bespoke, high-calibre opportunities for discussion and interaction with the London art world.

Emily’s residency will take place from  7 Apr – 16 May 2014.  Other selected artists include Candice Jacobs, Marie Toseland, Tom Varley and Laura Reeves.

The artists were selected by a panel that included Hannah Firth, Curator at Chapter, Cardiff; Matt Burrows, Curator at Exeter Phoenix; Angela Lennon, Curator at Peacock Visual Arts, Aberdeen; Elizabeth Murphy, Co-director at The Royal Standard, Liverpool and Fiona MacDonald, Curator at Standpoint.
